Thursday 8th August | 16:00 - 22:00

Music from 18:00 - 21:00ish

Come and join Fabio as he opens up bottles from his private collection for an evening of wine and sounds at The Doe.

A number of rare and aged wines will be open for you to try in 33ml measures. House wines will also be available in 33ml tasting measures for £1.50 each, so you can try 10 different wines for £15.00.

We will be opening a spectacular 2004 Barolo (33ml for £4), 2011 Rioja Gran Reserva, 1989 Riesling Spaetlese, amongst other rare and wonderful wines. Our house wines are going to be available to be purchased by the glass or by the bottle. There will also be a little blind tasting game: Get three random wines from the house wine menu (33ml each) and identify them correctly. Easy for £6, difficult £8. Get one free sample if you identify all three wines correctly.

We will be open from 4 until 10pm, so you are welcome to come at any time.

We will be serving charred cherry tomatoes with whipped feta, garden herbs and honey (this comes with two stone baked flatbreads for two to share for £15) and there is a Creamos Apricot Craft Ice Cream with one shot of Recioto di Soave dessert option for £5.50.

Music to accompany the evening with come from local musician Alex Knight who will be playing classical Spanish guitar.

We would love to have an idea of how many people plan to attend, so the right amount of wines can be opened and enough food for everyone can be prepared. If you could let us know the number of people and time you are planning on arriving by clicking on the RSVP button below.
